ReMining Waste™

ReMining Waste™ revolutionary technology increases recycling efficiencies and eliminates nearly all municipal solid waste (MSW) sent to landfills.  The ReMining Waste™ technology is capable of reducing up to 100% of unsorted municipal solid waste (MSW) by converting it to recoverable biomass, mixed plastics, various metals, and sterile inert residual that’s used in architectural fill or road bedding.

The core of ReMining Waste's™ technology is a sophisticated autoclave; the rotating autoclave performs a thermo-mechanical pulping process on the wastes, liberating biomass, while sterilizing all contents.  The high-pressure, high-temperature steam along with mechanical forces in a rotating vessel, significantly reduce the weight and volume of the MSW by breaking down the materials.

Utilization of the ReMining Waste™ technology provides real benefits:  waste volume reduction, transportation reduction, landfill life extension, waste-to-energy conversion, plastic-to-chemical conversion, and fuel creation.  As more landfills reach their full capacity, and facility enlargement projects become more expensive, other solutions should be pursued that reduce landfill material, and extend the life of the current facilities.  The transportation requirements of the current method likewise place heavy tolls on society including toxic gas emissions, excessive fuel consumption, and accelerated wear on the highway system.

A average ReMining Waste™ plant eliminates approximately 1008 tons of waste per day, eliminating any emissions that come with it at near 100% efficiency.  The plant will continuously generate 25MWh of electricity, while producing upwards of 48,000 gallons of liquid fuel daily. The economic benefits of this technology are significant, and of much greater value than any other waste-to-energy technology on the market today.

ReMining Waste™ Products

ReMining Waste™ biomass is made of organic materials that people throw away in the trash, such as cardboard, paper towels, banana peels, or any plant based materials that make it in the waste bin. The biomass separated by the trommel screen and air classifier consists of short, clean cellulose fibers in small (1/4-1/3 inch), essentially dry pellets.  The best use for these dried pellets are as a solid fuel, to provide renewable energy from a domestic source that is much cleaner than current sources.

ReMining Waste™ Biomass

  • Food, vegetable wastes, paper stocks, and lawn clippings are reduced to fibers and are thermo-mechanically pulped.

  • The process and the Biomass recovered from the MSW meet the CEN 15747 requirements and qualify (US EPA) as a renewable fuel.

  • The ultra-clean ReMining Waste™ Biomass higher heating value (HHV) is on average 8,200 BTU’s per lb. (as tested per US EPA 2015 MSW composition).

  • 100% of waste is sterilized; all bacteria and viruses are killed.

  • The ReMining Waste™ Biomass byproduct is virtually odor-free.
